Testing
was carried out with Land Rover and also by International
off-road Champion Vince Cobley, in every off-road scenario,
resulting in the Rover Group making Tyron bands a worldwide
accessory. It was proven that the Tyron band would keep the
tyre on its rim in any circumstance, providing traction and
vehicle control at all speeds and on any terrain.
Tyron
performed on Range Rovers at speed up to 120mph on the
Millbrook test track, to maximum gradient slopes - including
stop/start tests on the Land Rover test track, to deep
water, mud and high speed off-roading at the Pro-Trax
facility.
